AWANA
Wednesday Nights
6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
August - May
On Wednesday nights during the school year, we have a fun-filled, Bible-based Club called AWANA for 2 year olds through 5th Grade. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” This is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goals of Awana are to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.
Awana is a Bible club that emphasizes hiding God’s Word in your heart. Kids receive handbooks and as they memorize verses and complete activities, they receive awards and prizes. Awana includes a Lesson Time, Handbook Time, and Game Time.
A Bible Story and/or Virtue is taught in an interesting way during Lesson Time. During Handbook Time, kids are divided into smaller groups led by a trained Awana leader. In this group, kids recite memorized verses for awards and prizes and work on memorizing new verses. Game Time is a high-energy time of fun games in gym on the Awana game square.
The Awana Bible club is divided into age-graded groups:
PUGGLES 2 year olds
CUBBIES 3 and 4 year olds
SPARKS Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
T and T’s 3rd Grade – 5th Grade
All Awana Activities take place from 6:00 to 7:30 in the First Fruits Farm Ministry Center (641 location). Also, Nursery is provided for children under 2 years of age.
Our Meal Ministry is from 5pm-6:15pm in the downtown gym. Please check out the Meal Ministry page to view the dates and menu.
During the summer months, we will have fun Bible classes for Nursery all the way through 5th grade.
